Presentation of HDSS

HDSS was established in 1994 in Cakovec. The party entered the Parliament in 2004 with a single, non-party representative.

Flag of HDSS

The flag of HDSS is prescribed in the party's statutes (website) as a defaced Croatian tricolor flag. The red stripe is charged with the name of the party in white capital letters, while the blue stripe is charged with the party's motto Vjera u Boga i hrvatska sloga (the Trust in God and the Croatian Concord) in white capital letters, too. In the middle of the white stripe is the emblem of the party, made of the Croatian checky shield (with 25 squares, starting with a red one), surrounded by a green circular wreath of wheat. To the viewer's left is the portrait of Stjepan Radić, and to the right the portrait of Ante Starčević.
